After producing our storyboard and anamatic. We filmed and edited our final preliminary sequence. the only rule we had to follow was the 180 degree rule, apart from that we were able to film whatever we wanted. The filming went very well but when we got back to do the editing we realised there were shots missing that had not transferred to the mac. When editing we were able to produce a fairly good overall piece even without the missing shots and we were able to stick to the 180 degree rule.
Even though we stuck to the 180 degree rule there was still the occassional fault. For example there was the occassional camera shudder but this was unavoidable as we did not have a tripod. Also some cut shots were fairly jumpy but not too noticeable and there was a fair bit of wasted space above the actors heads.
We used a variaty of shots in our sequence such as the establishing shot and over the shoulder shot. this gave our sequence some variety and stopped the sequence from getting boring.
Also our shots were not too long and awkward and so were not boring.
Overall i feel that this task went very well. Of course there were some faults that were probably avoidable but from these problems we will be able to make the sufficient improvements and learn to make our final piece the best it can be.
